In lieu of a traditional birthday party this year for Miss Penny Lou's second birthday we went to DISNEYLAND!!! OH MY GOSH it was so much fun!!! We prepared for weeks prior as we received goodies in the mail for our vacation. Penny was so excited to go to Mickey's house and celebrate!! December 19th couldn't come soon enough!
That morning we woke up super early and got all dressed in our Disney gear. Sofia The First is Penny's absolute favorite and Auntie Ne Ne gave her an early birthday present, her very own Sofia ears!
We made the drive down the 5 and wound up at our hotel, Disney's Paradise Pier. As soon as we got into the parking lot she started calling for Mickey, "Mikey where are you?" SOOOO adorable
Being so close to Christmas everything was decorated and it was so beautiful! We checked into our hotel and dropped our bags and on the the parks we went!!
The first day we were so lucky to have Meema and Nana join us and the McEwan clan too!

The next morning was Penny's actual birthday December 20th. We started the morning opening presents in our hotel room but had to be up early as we were able to get into the park that day an hour earlier than it opened to the public. A perk for staying at a Disney hotel!
The McEwan's joined us again for another day of fun :) And Nana did too :)

We had so much fun celebrating with everyone. Our little Penny Lou is one lucky girl to have such a wonderful family. Definitely a trip for the books :)
When we got back we had her two year check up and all is GREAT!!

Practically perfect in every way. Dr says she looks fantastic and is right on track. No shots so it made the visit even better :)
Penny's cousins Emma and Lu gave her some dress up clothes and as soon as we got home she had to try them all on :)
