Today our little lady turns one and a half years old!! She had her 18 month check up and is practically perfect in every way :) She has grown 4 inches in the past 6 months (since her 1 year check up) and is measuring in at 35.75" tall and weighs 27lbs 11.3 oz. Dr says she is staying right on track and is happy with her measurements. She is speaking more and more clearly each day. Can say many words and is even putting them together into phrases. She loves to be read to and loves to read to her babies. She is quick to help and loves to throw things away in the trash can. We are still working on cleaning up the toys, that is a challenge but she's getting better. She will follow directions if you ask her to go get her shoes or a book or to go find her water bottle. Quite the helper. She will eat pretty much anything and I try to keep in interesting. A little picky about her veggies but if she doesn't know they are in there she doesn't seem to mind them :) Loves her milk and water and will "cheers" with anyone who is willing. Fruit is her FAVORITE, haven't found one that she doesn't like, and she has recently been introduced to Great Nana's tomato plants. She LOVES to pick them and eat them as she goes. Sleep is still wonderful and she's still in her crib. We are waiting for a sign to put her in a "big girl bed" but she doesn't ever try to escape the crib and falls asleep so nicely that I am in no rush to transfer her any time soon. Potty training is our next big step and we have purchased the big girl potty and step stool. We are waiting for baby Hannah to arrive before we make any attempt. But she likes to sit on the training potty like a big girl and any happy accident is welcomed and praised. She still has the sunniest of personalities and loves to say hi and bye to everyone we see. Please and thank you are becoming regular but she does need some prompting at times. She becomes more and more attached to her little kitty blankie that she calls "baby" and it comes with us pretty much everywhere. We have been prepping for baby Hannah's arrival and so far so good. Penny is getting used to all the baby stuff that is taking over the house so hopefully it won't be as big of a shock when we bring the actual baby home. Although I don't know that we can ever really prepare her. I think she will be a great helper and love her new baby sister, that's what I'm hoping for anyways :)
Penelope just lights up my days and I know I say it all the time but I am the luckiest mommy out there. I love the little lady that she is and I am so proud to call her my daughter.

Father's Day
We celebrated Corey this past weekend on Father's Day. Breakfast in bed and a nice relaxing day at home. Followed by a BBQ at his Dad's and Corey played hockey that evening. I am forever thankful for such a wonderful husband and father to my girls. He takes such good care of us all and loves and supports us. He provides us with an amazing life that we are so thankful for. We love you Corey and thank you for all that you do.
Baby Shower
My wonderful momma threw Corey and I a fantastic BaByQ baby shower for our soon to arrive baby Hannah. Friends and family came and showered us with so much love and TONS of gifts. We had such a wonderful day. We are so thankful for every ones generosity and love and are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives and now our baby girls lives.
Fun and Fit Gymnastics
Our little P has completed her first class at Fun and Fit Gymnastics and she loved it! She learned to do a somersault (assisted), jump on the trampoline, hang on the bars and she even got to swing over the foam pit with her teacher. She can't wait to start again on Friday. It gets LOTS of wiggles out and has helped with her coordination. And she especially loves having her older cousins Emma and LuLu in her class.
Mother's Day
Another special Mother's day we celebrated this year. We had brunch at Vincent Hill Station in Acton with the family and it was delicious. They had live music as entertainment and the little girls enjoyed dancing. Afterwards we headed back to our house for some more fun and family time.
Motherhood is no easy task and there is nothing more rewarding. I know I am still very new at this but I am so thankful to be a momma. Nothing compares to the love I have for my Penelope (and Hannah, even though I haven't met her yet :)). I have always wanted to be a mom but never knew how much it would mean to me until I met my P Nut. My heart overflows on a daily basis. It seriously makes me feel like the luckiest person in the world.
I have always been so lucky to have such a wonderful mother and role model in my life. She is my very best friend and helps guide me through all things this crazy life throws my way. She encourages me and has taught me to be the best person and mother that I can be. I can only hope that I can give my girls at least some of what she has given me. I am so lucky that she is here to rub off on them herself :) Her unconditional love and support have gotten me where I am today and I am so thankful for her everlasting patience. Words can't express how lucky I am to have her in my life and I am forever blessed to have such an amazing mother.
Candy's Birthday
My wonderful mother in law Candy turned 60 on May 5th and we had a wonderful celebration. Tisha set up a great lunch at El Torito in Redondo Beach for the party and friends and family were in attendance. It was a great time to get together with everyone and to celebrate such a special lady. We love you Candy!!
