Penny Lou - Big Sis to Be!

I just wanted to share some recent pics of my sweet Penny Lou.  She is growing up more and more each and every day.  I can't even believe it sometimes!  In two months she has her 18 month Dr apt and I just don't know where the time has gone.  She is the sweetest little love!!  I mean of course like all one year olds she has her moments I just feel so lucky they are pretty few and far between.  She has been walking and running for a little over 3 months now.  And has also been paci free for about 3 months too.  She is wearing mostly 24 month or 2T clothes but still can fit into some 18 month.  Her feet are finally growing a bit and she's at a size 5 but still can fit into some 4s.  She still has a pretty good appetite but is becoming more and more picky as the days go by.  We do have a rule in this house however, you eat what is made or you don't eat at all.  I figure, she will eat it if she's hungry.  And most of the time she does.  She LOVES music and LOVES to dance.  She loves to play dress up and pretend and carries her stuffed babies/animals all over everywhere.  She is becoming more daring and has learned how to go down the stairs "on her bottom, one step at at time" (I have to be sure to remind her or she just walks off and ends up rolling down).  She is  the cutest little mimic and if anyone coughs or sneezes she is quick to copy and she thinks its hilarious.  She is trying very hard to say words and gets very frustrated if there is something she can't communicate to us.  She does really well at identifying animal noises and can point out many body parts.  We had tried some sign language a while back and it surprises me what she remembers.  She has been signing "more" and "all done" and "milk" to help her communicate better.  Its crazy what she picks up on.  She LOVES Harry our cat.  She follows him all around and pets and kisses him.  Her want and need to be more independent makes for some new challenges but Corey and I are learning together how to help her grow and give her whatever it is she needs to strive.  Her personality is just infectious.  She loves to smile and laugh and tries to make everyone else smile and laugh too.  Her expressions light up the room and make my days as bright as can be.  I can't help but watch and play and laugh with her all day long.

A little pool time fun with Daddy.  She is learning to blow bubbles and kick her little legs.  It is the CUTEST!!

All snuggles after bath time.

Fell asleep while eating :)

My little love!!

Kisses for baby Hannah.  She is going to be the best big sis!

Making faces.  ALWAYS making faces :)

Smile that lights up the room

Hanging with Daddy.  She is a TOTAL Daddy's girl.

Santa Monica with Meema.

She LOVED the street performers on 3rd Street in Santa Monica.  She danced for all to see and cried when we had to leave!

Petting Zoo at the farmers market in Santa Monica.  The goats nibbled on her fingers she "Moo"ed to the cows and she sat with the chickens.

Meema bought her this beautiful balloon tiara and she would not take it off!  She loved it.

Selfie queen!  She even holds up her pretend phone and says "cheese"

My little ham!!  I love her more and more each and every day and just can't imagine my life without her.  She is my angel.

27 Weeks

27 Weeks

As of April 27th I am 27 weeks and feeling great!  Nothing really new to report.  Just watching the days go by.  Definitely feeling more movement from little Hannah.  She kicks and punches and rolls all around in my tummy, which I think is truly the best part of being pregnant.  All tests and blood work have come back normal so far.  I go for my glucose test next week to check on my sugar levels.  I'm hoping maybe to have another ultra sound soon!  Not sure how it all works with our new Kaiser insurance.  Went for a follow up on my foot pain (planter fasciitis) and they gave me a cortisone shot in my heel.  (Its a localized shot so according to Dr. it is 100% safe for baby).  I just went a few days ago but already my foot is feeling much better.  The pain was becoming unbearable so I am so thankful for the relief!   But other than that I can't complain.  Tired as usual but so lucky that P is such a good sleeper I am able to go to bed early and get rest.  Minus of course the CRAZY dreams that keep me up some nights.  Growing bigger by the second but loving this little baby in there.  Feeling very lucky to be pregnant and enjoying it as much as I can!  I'll be 28 weeks Sunday!!  It goes by so fast.

Ventura Family Vacation

Ventura Family Vacation

After all of our Easter excitement we headed out to Ventura for a week of fun!  Candy (Corey's mom) joined us for the first couple days and we got all settled in.  We took a nice walk from our condo over to the harbor and even made it to the museum.  They had a cool little aquarium with fish and sea life and an observation deck to take pics.  We headed to the park near by and played on the slide and then down to the water for some beach time fun.  We spent most of our days at the beach and even bought a Ladybug kite to fly.  The Easter bunny left Penelope a bucket of sand toys that were a huge hit.  She loved scooping the sand and mixing it with the water.  While Candy was in town she graciously watched the P Nut so Corey and I could go out to dinner, just the two of us.  We had a lovely time.  It was our 3 year wedding anniversary that Wednesday and it was a treat to be able to celebrate it while on vacation.  I am one lucky lady to be married to Corey.  He is the peanut butter to my jelly and the mac to my cheese.  Or however that goes.  He makes each day a little brighter and provides a life for us that I am so thankful for.  I just don't know how I got so lucky.

We headed into Solvang for one of the days and had a great time, eating!!  We had fudge, pastries and Ableskievers!!  The weather was great for most the trip.  It definitely a different ball game vacationing with a one year old.  Made for some interesting baby proofing and nap scheduling and sleeping arrangements but all in all we had a lovely time.  Nice to get away but still have the comfort of being close to home.

Easter

Easter Sunday fell on April 20th this year and we had a lovely day.  We had a pot luck brunch at my brother and sis in laws house with some super yummy food and we even had a visit from the Easter Bunny.  The egg hunt was very successful.  Penny didn't quite understand the gathering of the eggs but she sure loved finding them.  And then of course once she figured out there was candy inside, OH BOY!  That made it even more exciting.   And as usual she loved running around and playing with her cousins.  Very busy little bees they all are.  Very entertaining and so fun to watch.

Later that afternoon we rested up and headed out for our second annual Feldt Family Ventura vacation.
