3 Months Old

3 Months old!!

Little Penny Lou turns three months old today!!  She learns something new every day it seems.  So pretty much overnight she became more comfortable with tummy time and she is even rolling over intentionally on occasion. 

 She continues to love her Bumbo seat as she much prefers to sit up and look around.  When we hold her she wants to stand up sit down stand up sit down over and over.  She is grasping on to  things on a bit more of a regular basis.  Anything soft is immediately grabbed and brought to the mouth, whether it be her bib or blankie or dress or mommy's hair.  The more solid items are a bit more of a challenge but she sure tries to grab them.  She concentrates so hard.  Very focused when she wants to make her arms work.  She will even use her feet if they are available.

  She is wearing size 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers.  She is sleeping through the night 11-12 hours at a time.  We just changed up the schedule today to a 4 hour rotation feeding and napping 4 times a day.  So fingers crossed it will work out for the best :) Bath time is still her favorite.  She has become a great fan of stroller strides and is all smiles at the beginning and then napping by the end. 

 Penny and daddy have been able to have father daughter time since I have now returned to work.  I know they both enjoy their time together it and I love that Penny has such a great daddy who cares for her more than anything.  Such a wonderful husband and daddy :)  They even come in to visit me on occasion.   

She continues to amaze me each and every day.  I feel beyond lucky to have such a happy girl.  She is so beautiful and her little personality continues to show more and more.  Cuddle time is still my favorite and I absorb as much of it as I possibly can :)  

Bathing Beauty

So I went to the Gymboree store the other day (dangerous place) and found the most adorable bathing cap that I just HAD to purchase for my Sweet P.  As soon as I got home I immediately had a photo shoot with Penelope :)  She actually liked it!  And I just about died from the cuteness!!! :) Summertime here we come!!

1st Visit to the Easter Bunny

Yesterday my mom and I took Penelope for her first trip to visit the Easter Bunny.  She was sleeping right before we got there but woke up as soon as I took her out of the stroller.  Her lip started to quiver a bit but no crying.  We ended up with the adorable pic above.  Oh and I had to take a million pics before we left, of her in her beautiful Easter dress.  I'm sure I'll have a billion more come Easter morning :) Its so fun to spend all of these firsts with my Sweet P.  Every day is a new adventure and the holidays are so much fun!!

Last weekend we went to visit Corey's mom in her beautifully remodeled home.  She has been working very hard at fixing up her childhood home and it just looks fabulous!!  It was so nice to spend some time with her and Penny had a blast as well.  

March Madness

Beginning of March fun! 

Although today is rainy and gloomy we had some wonderful weather last week and took advantage of it at the park!  We met up with my brother Alex and sis in law Ilene and the twins Emma and Olivia and had a picnic dinner and played.  Cant wait for spring and summer so we can do this more often :)

Penelope is starting to show her personality more and more.  She is pretty happy most of the time and I feel so lucky! 

She loves when I read to her.  Doesn't pay much attention to the book but she loves to watch me read and smile and make faces.  She's a great listener :)

We have been using the baby carrier more, mostly around the house.  I sit her facing out since she holds her head pretty well and she loves it!!  And I love it cause I can vacuum and pay bills and even can manage washing dishes.  She likes to be up high and see everything, and we of course take time to stop and dance and sing :)  

She is a snuggle bunny.  When she is in her swing or car seat she loves to pull the blankets up around her face and snuggle in.  It is so cute.  

I pretty much always  have a bow on her head cause they are just too darn cute.  However sometimes they fall down around her eyes and she becomes Pirate Penny.  :)  Usually she gets upset but in this pic she was sleeping.  I guess they can double as a sleep mask as well.  

The Klingensmith's came up to visit last weekend and help to move Corey's dad and Katherine into their new house.  We had a great time and I just couldn't pass up this photo op.  Daddy's and their girls, too darn cute!!

We tried out the Bumbo seat for the first time today.  She LOVES it!!  My little baby is sitting up!!  I cant believe how well she holds her head up.  So proud of my little P.

She turned 11 weeks old yesterday!!  Cant believe how big she is getting and how much she learns each and every day.  I'm so in love with my little girl :)
