One Month Old!!

On January 20th our Sweet Penny Lou turned one month old.  The time has flown by and we are over the moon for our baby girl :)

First Overnight Trip!

First overnight trip!
We took our Penny Lou for her first sleep over at Auntie Tish and Uncle Alex's house.  She got to meet her cousins Avery and Harper who gave her lots of love.  We really couldn't of had a better first overnight trip.  Traveling with a baby requires a lot of STUFF! But Auntie Tish was so wonderful and had everything set up for us so really, we just had to bring ourselves.  This sure made momma's life a whole lot easier! The weather was so beautiful down in Carlsbad and we had a wonderful time hanging out and catching up with the Klingensmith clan.  Avery and Harper have both grown up so much!!  Hard to believe Penny Lou will be running around with them soon!  We decided to do a photo shoot with the three girls, which was no easy task.  But sure was a lot of fun!  We laughed a lot and even got a few good shots.

All in all the weekend was great!  Cant wait to see them all again soon.  xoxo

So Many People to Meet!!

Penny is one loved little lady and has had so many people to meet!

Cousins Emma and Olivia...
My brother Alex and sis in law Ilene have twin girls that are 1-1/2 years old.  The Twins were very good with cousin Penny.  They realized that she doesn't do much yet :) but I cant wait till they all are able to run around and play together.  Penny is very lucky to have cousins so close in age and that love her very much.

Oma, Aunt Kathy and Cousin Danielle...
We made our first road trip with the P Nut down to Oma's house.  We were unable to make it to the traditional Christmas Eve at Oma's this year but got down there shortly afterwards to visit, and Penny got to meet the family.

Grandpa Mark...
My dad, Grandpa Mark, lives in Oregon.  We were so lucky that he was able make a trip down this year to visit and meet Penelope.  It had been quite a few years since we all had seen my dad and I miss him very much. It was so nice to get to spend some time with him and to give him a hug.

Penny has some more firsts scheduled for this weekend.  We will be heading down to Carlsbad to visit Corey's sis and husband, Auntie Tish and Uncle Alex, and Penelope will get to meet cousins Avery and Harper for the first time!  It is our first overnight trip with the P Nut and we are very excited!!   More pics to follow!

A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Well needless to say our holiday season was extra special this year.  It was all a bit of a blur as we were adjusting to the lack of sleep and overwhelming emotions of bringing home our baby girl but we had such a wonderful time with family and friends.

Christmas Eve we spent with Corey's mom, Grandma Candy.  She got to meet Penelope and brought us a lovely dinner.  It was a wonderful evening.  We even tried out our baby carrier for the first time!

Christmas Day we opened presents as a new family of three and went on our first walk with the P Nut.

We then had more family over for dinner.  Chinese food is a tradition in our family for Christmas Dinner and Great Grandma Mary brought the wonderful feast.

New Years Eve was spent a little differently this year than the previous years.  We stayed home with our little P Nut and watched movies.  Well, really we slept, but with the two hour feeding schedule we are on we were up for midnight!  Penny didn't want to miss the ball dropping :)  Or food in her belly, haha.

New Years day we had a photo shoot with my friend Heather from work.  She took some amazing newborn photos of our Sweet P.

We had dinner at my brother's house with the family.  It was a great way to ring in 2013.  What a wonderful year it is already.

She's here!!!

Corey and I are so pleased to announce the arrival of our new baby girl Miss Penelope Louise Feldt!

She made her appearance on her due date (very punctual already) December 20, 2012 at 3:01 in the afternoon.  She weighed in at 7 lb 12 oz and 20-1/2" long.  We had a Dr apt on Wednesday the 19th and found out I was 4 cm dilated so Dr said to go home and try to get a good nights sleep and scheduled me to be induced the next morning at 7am.  We went home thinking we would be driving back that night once the contractions started but in fact we did get a good nights sleep and headed on in to Henry Mayo the following morning.

No sooner than we got checked in Dr was there to break my water.  He had 3 other ladies due to deliver that day as well so he was very busy.  They then started me on pitocin to get my contractions started.  The anesthesiologist came in around 11:30 to administer the epidural.  By then my contractions were in full swing!!  I was dilated to a 10 by 1:30 which is when I started pushing and she was out at 3:01 pm.

Corey and I got to spend some time with our little angel but we had family anxiously waiting to meet her as well.

My mom Nana Sue and brother Uncle Al were there along with Corey's dad Grandpa John and his wife Grandma Katherine.

And my friend Shanyne is a nurse at Henry Mayo and came up to meet little Penny while she had a break from work. They all came in and took turns holding her and even got to watch her first bath from the nurse.  The following day Penelope had many more visitors, Great Nana Mary, Auntie Tish and Uncle Alex, Auntie Ilene, Rosie and Mo, Mike and Mel.

All went well and we were checked out on Saturday the 22nd and headed home with our baby girl!!

We are so in love with our perfect little miracle.
