22 Weeks

Last Thursday the 16th marked the start of 22 Weeks.  All has been join going well so far.  I seem to have a nasty head cold that started yesterday but I'm hoping rest and fluids will kick it quickly.  According to my iPhone app, Penelope is going to be the size of an eggplant for the next two weeks.  Her bones are getting stronger and she now will be putting on weight in the form of body fat.  At this point she weighs about one pound. And it says her facial feature development is just about complete.  I cannot wait to see who she is going to look like!! Her movements are getting stronger, Corey is able to feel her pretty well now.  She loves to move when I get home from work and sit down to relax.  We have a little bonding time and I love it :)

Corey and I went to register the other night at Buy Buy Baby.  I have to say we did a pretty good job as I find the store to be very overwhelming and was nervous about the whole experience.  Luckily I have two great sister in laws who were so generous to give their advice on what to register for.  I compiled both their info along with my "suggested list" from Buy Buy Baby and did my best to be prepared before we walked in the door.  And it worked.  Corey even had some advice from people he had spoken to so we were a great team!  And its great cause I can update the list online from home so I wasn't worry about forgetting anything, as it always can be added.  The people at the store were very nice and let us do our thing not hounding our every move.  So another task to check off the to do list and another week closer to the arrival of our little girl!!

Buddha Belly

So Corey and I though it would be a great idea to take a photo each week to document my growing belly (and since I'm not planning to cut my hair we can document my hair length too haha). We started with week 7 which was when we had our first ultrasound.  I've posted all the previous weeks below but I will do my best to keep up to date week by week as time moves forward.  We write Penny Lou  little notes each week to let her know what has been happening.  We are halfway through and this little love bug has made the experience a great one.  I feel so lucky to be having such an easy pregnancy so far.

On another note, I had my first Fit 4 Baby class last night.   It's through the same program as Stroller Strides if anyone has heard of it, but its for pregnant ladies.  Its nice and close, Bridgeport Park, and later in the day, 6pm, in an effort to beat the heat that we have here in good old Awesometown.  I was looking for a community group with other soon to be moms to discuss all of the wonderful things us pregnant women go through and I was looking for a way to stay in shape and work with my body through all of these changes.  So I met at the park at 6pm and to my surprise it was only in the 90s and there was a slight breeze so in the shade it was quite delightful.  We did strength training mostly and some jogging/power walking.  I really enjoyed the conversation and the exercise.  So I signed up!  Cant wait for my next class :)

My first post!!

Hi All,
Welcome to my blog.  With the busy lives we all lead I thought it would be nice to have a place to post the most recent happenings in our lives in an effort to keep everyone up to date.  Corey and I have been married a little over a year now and we are so excited to be expecting our first baby this December, a baby girl miss Penelope Louise or Penny Lou for short.  So with this blog I will do my best to chronicle the life changing events of being a 1st time pregnant lady and soon to be 1st time mom.  Our lives are in the process of being changed FOREVER and I am looking forward to being able to have the time and place to document these changes and remember all of the fun, scary, crazy, happy events that are taking place to lead us into this next chapter in our lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Feldt :)
